South Paharpur H.S School is located in the Sonamura Sub-division under Kathalia RD Block of Sepahijala District. It is a Co-education school with an area of almost 4 acre. It was established in the year 1927 as a primary school. It was upgraded to Senior Basic School in the year 1965. Consequently it was the school was upgraded to Secondary and Higher Secondary (H.S) in the year 1993 and 2010 respectively. The school is under the control of Department of School Education , Government of Tripura and affiliated to Tripura Board of Secondary Education. The school has nurtured a good number of students till date and presently it has a student strength of 384 from class 1 to 12. The school was initially a double shift school but it is running in single shift from 2019 as per the decision of the School Management Committee.
